Traditionally, Ms. Nobisso has limited her presentations to 100 per year, in Nassau and Suffolk counties (Long Island, New York.) 

Now, however, she occasionally makes appearances elsewhere in New York State, and out-of-state.

Audience Size

For writing workshops or clinics: one classroom section at a time.  Doubling up may be possible, for grades 5 and up.

For author assemblies, slide presentations, illustrated book talks,

“Parents as Reading Partners” programs, Kick-Offs and Wrap-Ups, Author/Illustrator Events, etc: to venue capacity.

Staff Development: to venue capacity

Professional Writers: to venue capacity

Commencement Speeches, etc: to venue capacity

Ages

Pre-writer through professional authors.

Ms. Nobisso is a seasoned presenter, tailoring her programs to the ages, specific needs and skills of the participants.  (She has had several books dedicated to her by other professionals, and is a sought-after conference presenter.  Her work has been cited in over three dozen textbooks and trade books.)

Length

Most programs last one hour, but are timed according to programming needs.

Equipment Needs

For workshops: 

Ms. Nobisso generally conducts her classroom workshops as

“business-as-usual” sessions, with no preparation necessary on the part of the school. She brings all her own materials, and since her writing workshop methods do not displace any writing curricula, your school is already prepared, academically.

For Assemblies and Author Presentations, Miss Nobisso requests: 

1. comfortable seating for the audience
   

2. an area that can be darkened
   

3. as large a screen as possible
   

4. a cart high enough to allow projected images to reach the screen
   

5. a microphone, if the venue calls for it, cordless preferred

Book Donations

The author donates an autographed set

of her in-print books to the school library.

Bulk Discounts

It is possible to obtain the author’s books at bulk discounts to PTA’s or schools ordering in quantity. (Since Miss Nobisso’s titles span a large age range, many schools purchase different titles for different grades.)

Offering Discounted, Autographed Books

Scheduling

Ideally, no more than two writing workshops per day,

or three assemblies, or two workshops and one assembly.

Fees

Ms Nobisso’s fees have not changed in some years.

For Suffolk County:

$450 per session, when there are two sessions, relatively back-to-back.

$800 for one session.

Nassau County

$500 per session, when there are two sessions, relatively back-to-back.

$900 for one session.
